Marion B. McClure

HSU Cowboy Band Director, BA 1933

After graduating from high school in 1927, Marion took his music on the road, but abiding by his father’s strict rules, 1928年，他回到家乡，进入西德克萨斯师范学院学习. After Marion’s death in 1973, his wife, Dorothy, 写了一本书详细介绍了牛仔乐队从1923年到1973年的情况. She passed away in 2007. The couple had one son, William L. 麦克卢尔，孙女科琳·安妮·麦克卢尔，孙子威廉·布斯·麦克卢尔.

In the words spoken by the late Dr. Rupert Richardson at Marion’s memorial service, “He was a patriot, a Christian, a worthy citizen, a good man.”
